Born in Orlando, Florida, and enslaved in a penal colony by an oversized mouse for much of his childhood, Zachary Steele considers himself lucky to be alive and fortunate to still be well stocked in ACME human slingshots. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where he feeds his cat mouse-shaped food and offers her mouse toys regularly, in order to keep her vigilant.
The former owner of Wordsmiths Books in Decatur, Georgia, he has been featured by NPR, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Publishers Weekly, Baby Got Books, and Shelf Awareness. His first novel, Anointed: The Passion of Timmy Christ, CEO was nominated for the 2010 Sidewise Award for Alternate Fiction. People really, really like him and think he's a zarkin' frood.
When not in the throes of lampooning religion, Zach can be found yelling at the television while watching Braves baseball, bemoaning the general state of marketing skill in commercials, and trading his waning baseball card collection to garden gnomes for gossip about his neighbors.
He is diligently at work on The Storyteller, a young adult fantasy series, while awaiting word from Timoth Webb on what, exactly, his next adventure will be.
